Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2, 2026Klyr (the "App") is published by Jaggaro ("we", "us"). Klyr is an offline-first, privacy-first personal and small-business finance app — money tracking, accounts, people & udhaar (lending), budgets, reminders, and a business workspace for billing, customers, inventory, memberships, appointments, staff and rentals. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
By default, all of your financial data stays on your device. Klyr needs no account, no sign-up and no login to use, and works fully offline. We do not operate any backend server or database, and we never receive, store or access your data. The only ways your data can leave your device are ones you turn on yourself: the manual backups and exports in Section 2, and the optional Cloud Sync in Section 3 (which uses your own Google Drive, not ours). Klyr also shows ads via Google AdMob (Section 7).
1. What the App stores on your device
Klyr saves the information you enter so the App is useful — all of it in the operating system's standard private app storage on your device:
- Money records — transactions, accounts and balances, categories, budgets, recurring entries, and reminders.
- People & debts — the people you add and the amounts you lend or borrow, settlements, and split-expense groups.
- Business records (only if you use Business mode) — your business profile, customers and their khata (credit) ledger, products & services, bills/invoices, memberships, appointments, staff and salary, and rentals.
- Attachments you choose to add (for example a photo of a receipt) — stored as a local file reference on your device.
- Preferences — language, theme (light/dark), currency, personal/business workspace, and feature settings.
- An optional app-lock PIN, kept in the device's secure keystore (see Section 5).
Unless you turn on Cloud Sync (Section 3), this data never leaves your device on its own. You can delete individual records inside the App, wipe everything from your device settings, or remove it all by uninstalling the App.
2. Backups, exports & sharing — only when you choose
Klyr can create files at your request, and you decide where they go:
- Backups — you can export a backup file of your data and restore it later. The file is saved/shared only through your device's own share sheet, to a destination you pick.
- Reports & statements — you can generate PDF or CSV reports and bills and share them (for example over WhatsApp or email).
- Reminders / WhatsApp messages — when you tap to remind a customer, the App opens your messaging app with a pre-filled message; you choose whether to send it.
These files are handled entirely by you and your device's apps. Jaggaro never receives them. Once you share a file with another app or service, that app's or service's own privacy policy applies (for example WhatsApp).
3. Optional cloud sync — your own Google Drive
Klyr works fully offline. If you want to use your data on more than one device (or keep an automatic off-device copy), you can optionally turn on Cloud Sync, which uses your own Google Drive — never a Jaggaro server:
- You sign in with your own Google account (Google
Sign-In). Klyr requests only the minimal Drive app-data scope
(
drive.appdata) — a hidden, app-private folder inside your Google Drive. Klyr cannot see, read or change any of your other Drive files, photos or documents, and does not read your name, email or contacts. - Where your data goes. When Cloud Sync is on, a copy (snapshot) of your Klyr records is stored in that private folder of your Google Drive over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, so another device signed in with the same Google account can sync the same data.
- Jaggaro never receives it. We operate no server and have no access to your Google account or Drive. The data moves only between your device(s) and your own Google Drive. Your Google account and the files in your Drive are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Off by default, and reversible. Cloud Sync is off unless you enable it. You can disconnect any time in the App (Backup & Restore → Cloud Sync → Disconnect); local data stays on your device. You can also revoke Klyr's access to your Drive at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Not synced. Your app-lock PIN and device-only settings are never synced. Receipt-image attachments are kept on-device and are not part of the sync.
Klyr's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the
Google
API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The
drive.appdata data is used solely to provide the sync feature and
is not transferred to others or used for advertising.
4. The Klyr AI assistant is on-device
Klyr's built-in money assistant answers questions about your own numbers (for example "how much did I spend this month"). It runs entirely on your device using your local data — it is not a cloud AI, sends nothing to any server, and works offline.
5. App lock & biometrics
You can optionally protect the App with a PIN and/or your device biometric (fingerprint or face). The PIN is stored in the device's secure keystore. Biometric verification is performed by your device's operating system — Klyr only receives a yes/no result and never accesses or stores your fingerprint or face data.
6. What we do NOT collect ourselves
- No name, email, phone number, address, or other contact info collected by Jaggaro. (If you enable Cloud Sync, you authenticate to your own Google account — Klyr still does not collect your Google profile details; see Section 3.)
- No Jaggaro account or login — the App has no Jaggaro sign-up. The only optional sign-in is Google Sign-In for Cloud Sync, which connects you to your own Google Drive, not to any Jaggaro system.
- No precise location accessed by the App itself.
- We never upload, copy or transmit your financial records, attachments, backups or reports to Jaggaro — they stay on your device (and, only if you enable Cloud Sync, in your own Google Drive per Section 3).
- No analytics or crash events sent to a Jaggaro-operated server (we do not operate any servers).
7. Third-party services — Google AdMob
Klyr is free and uses Google AdMob, a Google advertising service, to display advertisements — banners on many screens and occasional full-screen interstitials shown at natural breaks (after you complete an action). AdMob is the only third-party advertising SDK the App links. Klyr requests non-personalized ads only — it does not use your data for ad targeting. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may still collect or process the following device-level signals:
- Advertising identifier — Android Advertising ID (AAID), depending on your device and your OS-level ad settings.
- IP address — used by Google to infer approximate region for region-appropriate, non-personalized ads and fraud prevention.
- Device model, OS version, screen size — for correctly rendering ads.
- Ad-interaction events (impression, click) — for ad measurement and reporting.
Google's policies and data practices govern that processing. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy and AdMob's developer privacy notice at developers.google.com/admob/android/privacy. You can reset or limit the advertising identifier from your device Settings → Google → Ads. Apart from Google AdMob and (only if you enable it) Google Drive sync, no other third-party SDK sends data off your device — no Jaggaro analytics, no crash-reporting server, and no other ad networks.
8. Permissions the App uses on Android
- Internet & network state — used by Google AdMob to fetch and display ads, by the optional Cloud Sync to talk to your Google Drive, and to detect whether you are online. Not used for any Jaggaro analytics or tracking.
- Google account (Sign-In) — only if you turn on Cloud Sync, to authenticate you to your own Google Drive (Section 3).
- Notifications — to show the bill, EMI, rent and other reminders you set. All reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
- Biometric / fingerprint — only for the optional app lock (Section 5).
- Photos / storage — to attach a receipt image to a record if you choose, and to save backups and PDF/CSV exports you create. The App accesses only the items you pick.
- Camera — only if you choose to capture a photo to attach to a record.
- Advertising ID & vibration — the advertising ID is used by AdMob (Section 7); vibration powers optional haptic feedback.
Some ad formats served by the Google AdMob SDK may use additional standard device capabilities to play the ad; these are controlled by Google's SDK, not by Jaggaro.
9. Data retention & security
Your on-device data remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. If you enable Cloud Sync, a copy also lives in your own Google Drive until you delete it there or disconnect and remove it — you control that copy through your Google account. We recommend keeping a backup if your data matters to you, since uninstalling removes the on-device copy permanently and Jaggaro holds no copy to restore from.
10. How to delete your data
Klyr stores your data on your device — and, if you turn on Cloud Sync, in your own Google Drive. Jaggaro keeps no copy on any server, so you are always in full control. You can delete your data at any time:
- Delete individual records — in the App, delete any transaction, ledger entry, customer, invoice, rental or other item directly. It is removed from your device immediately, and from your Google Drive copy on the next sync.
- Turn off Cloud Sync and remove the Drive copy — open Menu, then Backup & Restore, then Cloud Sync, and tap Disconnect. To erase the backup itself, revoke Klyr's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions — this deletes the app's hidden Drive (appDataFolder) data.
- Delete everything at once — uninstall the App. This permanently removes all Klyr data from your device.
What is deleted: everything you created in the App — transactions, ledgers/khata, customers, invoices, rentals, memberships, attachments and settings — both on your device and in your Google Drive copy. What is kept: nothing by Jaggaro; we never hold a copy of your data. Retention: your data stays only for as long as you choose to keep it — there is no additional retention period once you delete it or uninstall the App.

11. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because no personal data is collected by Jaggaro at all, COPPA and similar regimes do not apply to data we hold (none). Ads are served by Google AdMob under Google's policies.
12. Your choices
- Grant or deny camera, photo, and notification access from your device Settings; features that don't need a given permission keep working.
- Turn Cloud Sync on or off, and disconnect Google Drive, inside the App; revoke Klyr's Drive access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Delete individual records inside the App at any time.
- Export a backup before changing devices or uninstalling.
- Reset or limit the advertising identifier from your device settings.
- Remove all on-device data by uninstalling the App.
13. Changes to this policy
If material changes are made — for example, if a new third-party service is added in a future release — this page will be updated and the new Effective date will be displayed at the top.
